Newark Beth Israel Medical Center- Newark, NJ

1st robotic urologic training course instructor on the daVinci S robot in the northeast

This page will have links to information that was referred to you during your visit at our robotic training center.

As a physician, I feel it is my responsibility to teach the techniques that I have developed and adopted from other surgeons.  I offer the opportunity for any urologist to come into our operating room at Newark Beth Israel and observe live surgery.  About 75% of my operations are da Vinci prostatectomies, but I also perform robotic nephrectomies, partial nephrectomies, cystectomies, simple prostatectomies, and more.

Please contact me if you are interested in observing.

I have developed a protocol to assess your outcomes for you and your future patients.

You are welcomed to download my da Vinci prostatectomy excel spreadsheet.  A blank copy is stored online on my groups website.

I follow my patients for the first year in the following fashion:

1 month- Prostate specific quality of life + PSA

3 months- Prostate specific quality of life + PSA + AUASS + SHIM (if they are having erections

6 months- Prostate specific quality of life + PSA

9 months- Prostate specific quality of life + PSA

12 months- Prostate specific quality of life + PSA + AUASS + SHIM (if they are having erections

Feel free to download the forms for your patients or to have your patients fill out the quality of life form and bring it in with them for their appointments.

I also welcome you to join into the discussion at the robotic surgery blog.  I started the blog in November of 2005 to post some of my thoughts on procedures, prostate cancer, and many more topics.
