Delaware to obtain their first robot

Delawareonline : The News Journal : St. Francis to use da Vinci system

Delaware was one of the few states that did not have a daVinci robot. I believe this will leave only Hawaii, Montana, New Mexico, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Wyoming as states that do not have one yet according to the intuitive surgical website.

Anyone care to guess which state will get one next.

Hawaii ranks 42nd in population but 30th in pop. density. Except for logistical problems related to the division of the population among the islands, they should be able to support one or more robots. However, geographical considerations also mean that the medical community has a captive market and, if the they do not want to innovate, they don't have to.

Rhode Island could support a robotic program. Though the population is small (ranks 43rd) the density is second only to New Jersey and a program could draw easily from an even bigger surrounding area including some of MA and CT.

I think Wyoming 49th in density and 50th in population will be the last to get a machine.
